Fat vs. Water Soluble
Vitamins
Do you know the difference between fat
and water soluble vitamins? If not, you will want to learn
about them before you make a decision on which ones to
take as a supplement. The good thing is that there is
plenty of information available on both fat and water
soluble vitamins. As long as you know what the difference
is between the two types of vitamins you should not have
any problems deciding which ones are best for you.
Fat Soluble Vitamins
Generally speaking, fat soluble vitamins need fat in
order to be absorbed by the human body. So without fat,
these vitamins are not going to do you any good. Luckily
you never have to worry about this because fat is something
that every person has a little bit of at the very least.
Most fat soluble vitamins are stored in both fat cells
as well as the liver. There are four fat soluble vitamins
that you need to become familiar with. They are vitamin
A, D, E, and K. But one thing that you should remember
is that too many fat soluble vitamins can be bad for you.
In fact, if you overdose all of the vitamins can become
toxic and the effects can be harmful. This holds true
for all of the fat soluble vitamins expect vitamin A which
is non toxic. |
